This original acrylic painting is titled “Peaceful Sunset”. Just look at the glorious colours – I love the colours in this painting. When I look at it, it gives me a feeling of serenity – and puts a smile on my face. I hope it does this for you too.
I loved watching this piece grow from a blank sheet to a beautiful, colourful sunset.
My favourite part of this sunset is the way the black trees are silhouetted against the bright and colourful sky and water.
Painting this artwork called for some skills I hadn’t used before. So this was definitely a learning experience for me. And it all came together well.

This was the first time I had used an artist’s sponge to make the foliage of the trees. I love how it worked out. I will definitely be doing more sponge leaves in the future.

So here it is – finished, framed and on the wall. And it looks stunning!
