I read this week that two of the giraffes at my local zoo are pregnant.
Baby giraffes are the absolute cutest!
Did you know baby giraffes are called calves? AND a baby giraffe will stand and begin to walk within 30 minutes to 1 hour of being born.
A newborn baby giraffe is around 6 feet tall and weighs 50-70 kg.
So I thought I’d share a photo of a baby giraffe so you know why I’m excited about this.
I know you were thinking “Show me a baby giraffe!”
Just look at that face!!
Maybe I’ll try some infant giraffe art some day. 🙂
