The Covid-19 Pandemic has had a major impact on so many small businesses all over the world.
So many are struggling to make ends meet, if at all.
When sales drop off, the money just isn’t there. And then the stress of financial commitments builds up.
It’s not a good place to be.
Supporting small businesses is so important (if you can).
How can you help?
5 WAYS TO SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES
Here’s a few things you can do to make a big difference and help support small businesses.
1 – Buy From Them (if you can)
If you have the means to do so, support a small business by buying something they sell.
And even better, if you were going to buy something anyway, choose a small business rather than a big corporate store or company.
During periods of lockdown, many cafes and restaurants have had to close or resort to take-aways only.
For many places, you can still get your favourite coffees and dinners.
Help them out.
2 – Recommend Them To Friends Or Family
If you can’t make a purchase yourself, maybe a friend or family member can.
If you know someone who is a good fit for a small business, tell them.
Spread the word.
3 – Share Their Posts On Facebook
Help put a small business in front of your friends and family.
It’s not all about memes. Well, it doesn’t have to be.
If there’s a small business you like, share their page so your friends and family can see it.
4 – Share Their Images On Instagram
Share links to your favourite small businesses on your Instagram.
Share a photo of your purchase and a link to the business.
You can share posts from small businesses in your Instagram stories.
5 – Leave A Positive Review For Them
Whatever platform they use (Facebook, Etsy, Google, etc.), leave a review for them – just a few lines of praise.
This will help convince other people to make a purchase.
During lockdowns, most musical performers lose their source of income. Help them out by supporting them again when the lockdowns are lifted. Or check their social pages to see if they are providing pay-for performances online.
And, of course, buy from visual artists in their online stores. 🎨🙂
Many artists are also open for commission work. If you have a favourite artist and you’d like something in particular, ask them.
