The highlight of my month was a special lunch at Parliament House hosted by our local state member, Geoff Baker MLA, to “recognise you, your contribution and your amazing work”.
It was a small group consisting of Mr Baker, Veronica (a nature photographer), Trevor (a children’s book author), Monique (Head of Arts at a local high school), and me.
This was all kicked off by a photography competition I entered last year (see pic), and my pelicans photo is now part of a “South Perth Highlights” electronic display within the halls of our State Parliament House.

We are blessed to have a local politician take such an interest in the people of his community, giving his support and recognition.

Well CONGRATULATIONS Sandra! What an honor to be recognized for your creativity. Not many politicians are interested in arts and humanities. Great job girlfriend! ππ»π·π₯°ππ»ππ¦π
