Taking inspiration from surrealist artists, such as Salvador Dali, our task was so create a completely different artwork.
So I thought I’d share a photo of a baby giraffe so you know why I’m excited about this.
Looking back now, the maidenhair fern isn’t too bad. But at the time, I wasn’t getting the result I wanted.
As we came to learn, our teacher lived across the road and it was easy for her to bring every day objects to class for us to draw or paint.
My current project is an Australian Pelican in acrylic paints. – work in progress

Don’t you just love this face? He’s looking right at you. I recently completed this original acrylic painting “Eddie The Emu” – such an enjoyable journey. 🙂
