Nature has incredible healing power, we just have to stop and take notice.
I was looking through my sketchbook and came across this image I painted from a stunning Australian gum tree.
This was completed as part of an art challenge – where you had 10 minutes to create an image of something that inspires you. I did this using watercolour paints and ink pen.
I chose this gum tree because nature is constantly inspiring me, and making me happy.
Do you see what I see? The beautiful pink dancing tutus. The colours of the slender gum leaves. The shadows of the brown branch.
Can you feel the sunshine warming you?

Make sure you keep a look out this week as I will be sharing my other work that sits with this piece.

Thank you so much. Do you think I should frame it and put it up on the wall?

Yes, talk about pressure! I might take it out of the sketchbook and frame it.

It’s worthy! I immediately thought it would make a great doona cover – sleeping under the gums π

I’ve used VistaPrint before with great results – not sure if they do doona covers, but certainly lots of other great stuff … like coffee mugs π

Thanks Tone. I’ve been looking at Redbubble, but not done much with it yet. I’ll add Vista to the list.

I haven’t tried Redbubble. I think Visa is global, some stuff I ordered was printed in Norway!
