Making Pottery

I was looking back through my old sketchbook and came across this life art. This was done at an art retreat and shows fellow student Tanya at the pottery wheel. From memory, Tanya was very good at pottery.

This was a learning exercise for me, years ago now, getting to know Conte Crayons. These crayons are a compressed graphite powder mixed with a clay base, and named after their creator Nicolas-Jacques Conte.

I think my sketch turned out pretty well. πŸ₯°

    1. The crayons were fun, but messy. The sketch has held up well over all these years. 😊
