How did I get here?

I’m often asked how I got to this point in my artistic journey. So here’s a bit about me…

I studied art and art history for a few of years in my scholastic years, then got a “proper job”. Now retired from what I deem a successful corporate life, I have found my way back to art.

I love making art that brings joy to its viewer!

I have often been described as an Empath – which is to say I absorb feelings from other people very easily. This can be exhausting when I sense too much negativity or sadness.

For this reason, I like to make art that encourages and promotes happiness.

I strongly feel that if we can make the world a better place, we should do that. 💖

I enjoy being able to create artwork that sings to my soul – my happy art.

I love mixing colours to achieve something inspirational, losing myself in the process of creation.

My greatest joy is when my art makes someone else happy.

I have a strong connection to water and to animals.

The sight and sound of the ocean has always been an escape for me.

To me, the vast expanse of the ocean and the echoing sound of the waves is my happy place – it brings me peace.

Anywhere near water is good for my soul. 💖

I’m a West Australian artist, creating artwork that promotes happiness.

I am often found at the South Perth Foreshore of the Swan River, soaking in the glorious weather and beautiful sights of Perth.

My favourite getaway is to the south-west Margaret River Region – see my photo (above) at the Busselton Jetty.

I love working with acrylic paint, but I also enjoy dabbling with pencil sketches, ink pen drawings, and sometimes watercolours.

Painting brings me so much happiness, and any time I get to share my designs with others it’s such a joy.

My goal as an artist is to bring joy to the hearts and homes of others.
