Blooming Delight: Day 1

Abstract Watercolour Flower | Sandra Burns Art

Each day this week I will be profiling one of my favourite artworks – BLOOMING DELIGHT – to share my heart and soul about this painting.

I hope you enjoy this series of posts. Keep a look out as I’ll be sharing something different each day.

This is the week of Blooming Delight.

This is a watercolour painting of a beautiful pink flower, with stunning pinks and golds on the petals.

The flower itself has a crisp centre to attract your eye.

The background is an ethereal green – there but not really there.

For me, the main focus is the centre, but I’m also drawn to that one petal that’s not as brilliant as the others, like a beauty spot on the face of a 1960s movie star.

  1. I calls’ them like I see them. It did look like jewels, I didn’t think you did that kind of Art. I have seen artists combine different media.

    1. This one was different for me – playing with watercolour paints. I feel more comfortable with acrylics though.
