There’s nothing like a little bit of sketchbook work to add to the excitement of painting in the studio.

You may recognise these ferns from my “Flowers For You” artwork. Although I had my heart set on some evergreen Maidenhair Fern as part of the composition, I ended up using the Fishbone Fern because it was a better fit with the flowers.
