Video of Pelican Pete

Take a look at this short video of my Australian pelican painting, PELICAN PETE, and how it came together. I love watching this.

What do you think?

Inspired by a photo I took at the South Perth Foreshore, I decided to zoom in on this beautiful pelican for the painting.

The pelican was believed to pierce its own breast with its beak and feed its young of its blood. It became a symbol of Christ sacrificing himself for man โ€“ and because of this was frequently represented in Christian art. The spirit of the pelican is commonly associated with the virtues of humility, sacrifice, generosity, and unity.
