This painting is called “SUNDAY SAILING” and it was inspired by a childhood memory of a late afternoon picnic by the river. The view and the colours were amazing. I made this painting so I could share that feeling.
Through my art, I’m exploring the healing power of nature – and bringing nature inside the home.
This sunset sailing painting is 49 x 73 cm on paper (19 x 29 inches) and I adored adding layers of watercolour paint and pastel crayons. I love the way the pinks, greens and blues contrast each other. And I had great fun mixing colours together to form this wonderful sunset scene.
