Understanding Hidden Exhaustion: You’re Not Alone

There are kinds of tiredness that don’t come from lack of sleep.

The kind that settles deeper.
The kind you can’t quite explain.
The kind that lingers, even after you’ve done all the “right” things to fix it.

And maybe, somewhere along the way, you started to feel like you needed to justify it.

Why you’re tired.
Why you can’t keep up.
Why things feel heavier than they used to.

But here’s something you might not hear often enough:

You don’t have to explain why you’re tired.

Not your exhaustion.
Not your need for rest.
Not your capacity.

You are allowed to be where you are—without turning it into something productive, presentable, or easy for others to understand.

Some forms of tiredness come from carrying too much for too long.
From being the steady one.
From pushing through quietly.

And that kind of tiredness doesn’t need proof. It needs care.

There is a subtle pressure woven into everyday life that tells you to keep going.
To try harder.
To finish everything first, then rest.

But what if rest didn’t have to be earned?

What if you could pause before everything is done?

What if softness wasn’t something you arrived at eventually—but something you allowed now?

This is the space held inside my painting, “By The Sea”.

A quiet visual exhale.
A moment that doesn’t ask anything from you.
A place where you don’t need to perform, explain, or push.

Just soften.

Let your shoulders drop a little.
Let the urgency fade, even briefly.
Let yourself be supported—even if only for a moment.

You don’t have to stay.
You don’t have to follow.

But if something in you recognises this feeling — this need for gentleness, for quiet, for care without conditions —

This is the kind of space you’ll find here.

And you’re always allowed to come back to it.
