This realistic acrylic painting of an ocean wave is titled “At The Beach” – one of my favourite places.
From this… to this!
This ocean wave artwork was created from a course I recently completed – from Blue Beach House Art. As always, some parts worked well, and some didn’t. I will keep practicing. Overall, I’m thrilled with the result. And it looks great up on the wall.
Making “At The Beach”
Here’s a quick progress video if you’d like to take a look at how it all came together.
The foamy shore wash was something new for me to learn. And the splashy waves were a new technique for me. I like how they worked out.
And I learned a lot about mixing colours and blending the colours on the canvas.
I love the multiple ocean water waves – the big wave, a small wave, a ripple and the shore wash.
As an acrylic artist, creating artwork is about continuously learning.

So here it is – finished, and on the wall. And it looks stunning!
