Artwork Archives – Still Life Serenity

Serenity | Sandra Burns Art

“Serenity” is from my artwork archive, completed in 1979.

Serenity is a large pencil drawing of still life objects. I can still remember that day, walking into the art room with this group of objects set up on one side and the art desks in a U shape around them.

These were objects from Mrs B’s home – as we came to learn, our teacher lived across the road and it was easy for her to bring every day objects to class for us to draw or paint.

“Serenity” was also the basis for my surrealist artwork “Sea Creature Surrealism“, which was completed around the same time.

Art has always been in my veins, this was completed in high school.

Tell me in the comments below if you like this artwork. What do you feel when you look at this scene?

Thanks for viewing my art.
